De Borrah Wright*

MD

Dr. De Borrah Wright is a board-certified psychiatrist and pediatrician who works with children, adolescents, young adults, and women navigating perinatal, postpartum, and major life transitions. She provides compassionate, evidence-based care utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), medication management, and developmentally informed psychiatric treatment tailored to each stage of life. Dr. Wright will begin providing services to TCNY clients in March 2026.

Dr. Wright most recently served as the Medical Director of Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Inpatient Services at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York, where she led multidisciplinary treatment planning, staff development, and quality improvement initiatives to support high-acuity youth. Her leadership emphasized preventive, culturally responsive, and holistic behavioral health care. 

She has also partnered with Medgar Evers College Preparatory School to promote preventive and school-based mental health support for students. In addition to her psychiatric expertise, Dr. Wright has extensive prior experience as a pediatrician in Massachusetts, including serving as a Consulting Medical Director for the Chicopee, MA public school district and practicing at Pediatrics Associates (Westfield, MA) and Sumner Pediatrics (Springfield, MA), giving her a uniquely integrated perspective across pediatric and psychiatric care.

Dr. Wright completed her psychiatric residency in General Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at Augusta University Medical College of Georgia and her pediatric residency at Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital. She offers comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, medication management, and therapy for mood disorders, anxiety, life transitions, and developmental concerns across the lifespan.
